Emco Mopeds

At the beginning of the Hamburg school holidays we were shooting on location in Emsdetten and Münster. The quiet wooded alleys and the sandy dunes made the perfect setting for buzzing around on mopeds. Although buzzing is probably the wrong word as these stylish new electro mopeds are so quiet you can hardly hear them thanks to their fantastic clean green electro technology. For a quick trip into the centre of Münster’s old town for a coffee or a lunch date the images for the campaign all sought to underline the youthful but classic nature of this product and Christoph’s photos were the pefect means to capture these fleeting essential moments.

Was ist gerecht, was ungerecht?

Mit solchen Fragen haben sich rund 300 junge Hamburgerinnen und Hamburger im Alter von 12 bis 21 Jahren ein halbes Jahr lang beim großen Fotowettbewerb „Guck ma – Fotos für Fairness und Fair Trade“ auseinandergesetzt. Zu den Themen visualisierten sie ihre Gedanken und Ansichten in ungewöhnlichen Fotos oder Fotoserien. Unterstützt wurden sie dabei von einem Team engagierter Hamburger Profi-Fotografen sowie von ihren Lehrern. Schirmherr des „Guck ma“ – Wettbewerbs ist der renommierte Hamburger Fotograf Christoph Siegert.

Summer, Sun, Matjes

With the stunning backdrop of the port of Hamburg and back at the studio, Christoph Siegert shot motifs of Matjes fish – a north European speciality. For the Hamburg based advertising agency Dederichs, Reinecke and Partner and in collaboration with the food stylist, Silvio da Silveira Macedo, tasty looking fish morsels were prepared with loving attention to detail. Some of the images include fish cornettos, fish hearts and fish served up in a Dutch pottery bowl – perhaps to remind us that the sousing of the herring was invented in Holland.

Nefertiti

The Queen of the Nile is to be the title image for the new show at the Friederichstadt-Palast Berlin. Under the watchful eyes of Zhoi Hy and Christoph Siegert our model Sina was transformed into the living Nefertiti. With a production budget of ten millions Euros this show will the most lavish production in the 95 years of the Friederichstadt-Palast Berlin

Benefizauktion "Lebenskünstler"

Im Rahmen der NCL Benefizauktion “Lebenskünstler” ließ Christoph eines seiner Fotos versteigern. Sein Bild teilte sich die Bühne mit Werken von Joseph Beuys und Jonathan Meese. Ziel der Auktion ist es, das Projekt “eine Zukunft ohne Kinderdemenz” mit den Einnahmen zu unterstützen.

digit! Magazin

Wie lässt sich beides in einem Werbespot vereinen: kreative Freiheit und gleichzeitig eine tolle Geschichte erzählen? In einem Magazinbeitrag für digit! schildert Christoph, wie er mit einem inoffiziellen Werbespot und flankierenden Imagemotiven für Elbler beide Ansprüche miteinander vereinen konnte.

Urban Jungle

The fun fair Spreewald in Berlin is the backdrop for Christoph Siegert’s latest series of pictures with a wild urban look. The team set off on a day trip to this permanent pleasure park from the days of the DDR, which has been closed since 2001. Balloons, bunting and crazy looking dinosaurs vs. a Cuban dancer and a Ferris wheel – “It was the battle of the century and every era has something to offer, whether it be Batman or BMX!”

Senseo

Für Senseo fotografierte Christoph in einer gemütlichen zugleich aber stylischen Wohnzimmerküche. Für die Gemütlichkeit sorgte auch eine schwarze kleine süße Katze, die sich von dem Fotoshooting nicht stören ließ und sich zwischen unserem Equipment einen Platz aussuchte und einfach schlief… Was noch hinter den Kulissen passierte, könnte ihr in unsere „Making of“ sehen.

Hamburg Mal Fair
- visit from Peru

Some of the winners from this year’s Hamburg Mal Fair photo competition came from Peru to collect their prize – a day in a professional photo studio. Christoph was able to show them some of the tricks of the trade – working with natural light and how to get great effects with simple means. We also drank apple juice and swapped stories about life in Germany and Peru.
